GRACIEOLOGY
Graphic Designer
Howdy, I'm Gracie AKA Gracieology! A freelance graphic designer based in Brazil. With over 10 years of experience, my designs are heavily inspired by mid-century movie posters and various historical references. My main field is posters, focusing on movies and musical artists.
Creative Process
A brief look at my creative process for poster designing.
  • 1
    Research
My process starts with choosing which decade I want to reference, and then finding posters from the time period in order to analyze what their defining characteristics are.
  • 2
    Placement
At this stage, I'll start finding assets (pictures, fonts) and working out their placement within the poster composition. If a client has already sent predefined assets, this step will be mainly focused on composition rather than image finding.
  • 3
    Formulation
After the first draft is sent to the client, and the overall composition is agreed upon, I'll start editing the images and adding effects. Once the client is happy with the results, they'll receive the finalized files.
  • 4
    Sharing
With the approval of the client, the final artwork is published in my social media, following my posting schedule.
